Open Source

The /*jupiter jazz*/ group strongly believes in the OpenSource philosophy.  Being open is an important part of our mandate.  Join us in the noble battle against reinventing the wheel™!

Whenever possible we try to share our internal tools under a proper opensource licensing scheme, and we also try to convince our clients to do so by slashing our consulting fee. We don’t like to reinvent the wheel and we are happy if we can save someone else from having to do that too :)

Our Projects

  • Jupiter Skin NEW!
A project container for RenderMan skin shaders, currently featuring a Spherical Gradient Illumination skin shader for 3Delight.
  • Jupiter File Cache NEW!

We are proud it is also featured at: OpenSourceVFX.ORG
  • Jupiter Paint Effects to Particles
Converts Maya Paint Effects brushes to Maya Particles
  • Jupiter Make Tiled EXR
Converts an OpenEXR texture of *any* resolution, into the tiled version of it

OpenJupiter

Jupiter is an open planet (it’s just complicated to go there, but the internet connection rocks). If you are using/improving our code please credit us according to the licensing scheme and drop us a line so we can integrate your changes in the repositories, we have a Google Group and mailing list for that:

openjupiter@googlegroups.com
